you are confusing buying young players with a youth system. the youth system develops young players into first team players. walcott and oxlade were bought from southampton’s youth system. The original debate was about arsenal having a better youth system than man utd, which is bollocks. only wilshere and gibbs have come from arsenal academy. no idea who aneke and afobe are since they havent broken through.
Theo Walcott is the youngest ever player to play for England’s senior team at age 17. Then you’ve got Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jack Wilshere and Kieran Gibbs so I don’t understand what you’re talking about… Then we have Chuks Aneke, Benik Afobe and others that are gonna be England stars in the future. Just watch.

Your youth system is not on our level…Look at the players that have and are coming though: Charlton, Best, Duncan Edwards, Dennis Viollet, Mark Hughes, Giggs, Scholes, Becks, Neville’s, Butt, Wes Brown, Fletcher, Evans, Welbeck, Cleverley, Jesse Lingard, Tunnicliffe, Wootton, Brady, Larnell Cole, Will Keane…There just SOME of the English players…
Then you have players that have moved on like, Ravel Morrison, Ezekiel Fryer, Pique, Ron-Robert Zieler, Giuseppe Rossi…The list goes on.
